Sector Overview
The petrochemical sector is one of the industries with the most demanding requirements for steel materials. Steels used in chemical processes must be resistant to aggressive conditions such as high temperatures, acidic environments, chloride ions, and sulfide corrosion. At Aktif Celik, we provide specialized alloy steel solutions to meet these critical needs of petrochemical plants.
Materials with high corrosion resistance, particularly Duplex (2205), Super Duplex (2507), and Hastelloy, are preferred for process safety in petrochemical facilities. Flanges, fittings, and special connection elements in these grades are supplied in compliance with ASME B31.3 process piping standards and NACE MR0175 sour service requirements.
In material selection for petrochemical investments, operating temperature, media chemistry, pressure class, and mechanical strength requirements must be evaluated holistically. Our technical team provides engineering support for the most suitable material grade and standard selection specific to each project.
Thanks to our extensive manufacturer network, we can deliver products in special sizes and grades with the required certificates (EN 10204 3.1/3.2, PMI, NACE) in short lead times.
