Sector Overview
The machinery manufacturing industry is one of the locomotive sectors of the economy and one of the most intensive areas of steel bar consumption. These steels, machined on CNC machines through turning, milling, and grinding processes, require high machinability, precise tolerances, and repeatable mechanical properties. At Aktif Celik, we meet the diverse material needs of the machinery manufacturing sector with our wide product portfolio.
Free-cutting steels (11SMn30, 11SMnPb30, ETG 88/100) provide superior surface quality and low tool wear in high-speed CNC machining. Quenched and tempered steels (42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6) are used for shafts, connecting rods, and critical parts requiring high mechanical strength. Case hardening steels (16MnCr5, 20MnCr5) are preferred for gear and bearing applications where a hard surface and tough core structure are both required.
For supply to the machinery manufacturing sector, three basic forms are offered: hot rolled, cold drawn (bright), and peeled. In each form, round, square, hexagonal, and flat profiles can be provided in different diameters and tolerances.
